Dennis Howard

Head of coutts crown dependencies

Dennis joined as Head of Coutts Crown Dependencies in June 2023.

Over the last 16 years he has held Private Banker and leadership roles across both the domestic and international businesses of Coutts. Most recently, he led the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific markets, specialising in UHNW non-resident and resident non-domiciled clients.

Throughout his career with Coutts, Dennis has leveraged the benefit that Coutts enjoys from being part of the NatWest Group, worked closely with colleagues across the Group and was previously the Global Co-Chair of Enable – the Bank’s employee-led network for disability.

Dennis has also built up a strong external network over the years, collaborating with other leading professional advisers to help clients navigate the complexities of their multi-jurisdictional status.  

In 2017, 2019 and 2022 he was listed by Private Asset Management as one of their top 40 under 40.  

Outside work, Dennis likes to keep fit and travel with his husband and two dogs.

Claire O'hara

Claire joined Coutts Crown Dependencies in 2010 and is the Market Lead, with responsibility for the Wealth Managers and Private Bankers in our three islands.  With over two decades of experience in investments, wealth and corporate risk, Claire brings a first-rate level of supervision, guidance and training to our team to help deliver our Wealth Management and Private Banking capabilities to our client base.

Away from work Claire enjoys keeping active and travelling with her young family. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.

KATHERINE COVENEY

Katherine has over 25 years experience within the Private Banking industry. She joined Coutts from Standard Chartered Bank in 1999 and having spent 12 years in Coutts’ London office, she moved to Coutts Crown Dependencies in 2012.  Katherine is a Chartered Member of the Securities Institute and has provided investment advice to her clients since 2005 formally under the regulation of the FCA and now under the regulation of the JFSC since moving to the Island.  Katherine is responsible for providing wealth management advice and support to local resident high net worth clients in Jersey, and is well connected on Island. In her spare time, Katherine likes to travel, ski and spend time with her friends and family.

ALEC FRASER

Alec is a member of the Jersey based team with considerable experience as a Wealth Manager, having served at both Rathbones and HSBC. Alec joins Coutts Crown Dependencies as a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and has a strong track record in tailoring bespoke solutions for wealth requirements of international clients with multifaceted needs.

His High Net Worth client experience is extensive and well complemented by his time crewing some of the Mediterranean’s most prestigious superyachts. Away from work his interests include yacht racing, golf, and taking his Cavapoochon Dora for walks along the Jersey coast.

William Le Quelenec

William is an Associate Director, Wealth Manager at Coutts Crown Dependencies in Jersey.  He has been with the Group since 2007, working as a Relationship Manager for NatWest International before joining Coutts Crown Dependencies in 2013.

Working predominantly with UK resident and non-domiciled clients, William prides himself on delivering personalised investment solutions to High Net Worth families and their professional advisors.  William is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.

Outside of work, William is a keen Coastal Rower and has represented Great Britain as far away as Hong Kong.

kirstie egerton

Joining Coutts in 1998, Kirstie is based in our Isle of Man office and has over 14 years experience looking after High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals and their families.  Kirstie understands the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities that wealth brings and works with her clients, their families and advisers to design appropriate wealth and investment strategies to help them achieve their objectives. Kirstie is a Chartered Fellow member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

charlie pearce

Charlie started working for the Group in 2015, initially working in the International Personal Banking unit with NatWest International. Charlie moved to Coutts Crown Dependencies in 2017 and after obtaining his Level 4, Investment Advice Diploma he worked alongside Wealth Managers as an Analyst to provide investment advice and execution only dealing services. As a Wealth Manager Charlie now focuses on High Net Worth UK Resident, Non Domiciled clients to help meet their investment, banking and credit needs. When not at work, you will find Charlie playing rugby or golf and attempting DIY jobs around his house.

tina carter

For the past 30 years Tina has worked in a Relationship Management role both in a personal but also a Corporate Banking environment. More recently Tina worked in the Wealth Office of NatWest International with responsibility for providing a highly personalised service to our local High Net Worth clients. In addition to overseeing all their day to day banking and lending requirements she also worked closely with colleagues in Coutts Crown Dependencies introducing clients to discuss and explore investment solutions which may be of interest to them. Prior to joining the Corporate Banking division of RBSI in 2004 Tina worked for Standard Chartered Bank in Jersey for 20 years. A key driver for Tina in her roles has been the importance of forming close working relationships with her clients. These have helped to build trusted relationships enabling us to understand our clients banking requirements in addition to also understanding the strategic directions they may be taking and how the Bank could work in partnership with them to help achieve their goals.

Stephen has over 25 years experience within the banking industry. Before joining Coutts Crown Dependencies, Stephen worked as a Senior Relationship Manager in the Wealth Office of NatWest International, specialising in High Net Worth clients based in the UK with banking and lending needs whilst working closely with Coutts Crown Dependencies when introducing new clients to utilise investment solutions. Stephen believes maintaining long lasting relationships with clients are key in building trust, understanding our clients needs holistically and helping them achieve their ambitions. Before Stephen joined NatWest International in 2010 he worked for Lloyds Banking Group in the UK and Jersey for 15 years. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

George Saw

Having joined the team in 2015 he brings over 20 years of experience in client facing roles across RBSI working closely with both clients and their professional advisers to identify and find solutions to help achieve their financial goals, leveraging his CISI Investment Advice Diploma.

OWEN LEE

PRIVATE BANKER

Owen has over 30 years experience in offshore banking, having joined NatWest Offshore in 1989. Prior to joining Coutts Crown Dependencies this year Owen worked in the Premium Banking division of NatWest International with particular responsibility for providing a highly personalised service to our local High Net Worth clients in Guernsey.

Owen is motivated by developing long term client relationships, being a trusted advisor and gaining a clear understanding of the strategic directions our clients may be taking and how we the Bank could can work with them to help them achieve their goals.

Outside of Banking Owen is involved in the local Rugby Union scene as a club official and is a keen runner.
